And then they would not open the bottle and made me go to the lobby restaurant to have it opened. I felt so sorry for them having to encounter such rude people! We had bought a bottle of wine to enjoy however we had to pay 5 euro to get a bucket of ice and wine glasses delivered. The buzz of complaining from people who wanted a better room and didn’t receive it frustrated me on behalf of the hotel staff. The lobby is constantly jam packed and busy with guests checking in and out and waiting for their group bus tours. But I don’t really think this hotel offers a truly Parisian experience if that’s what you’re seeking.
